The 1st CTER Congress will focus on a broad spectrum of issues pertaining to translation pedagogy, including those which relate to the educational stakeholders, teaching content and methodology involved in the process of translator education. Therefore, we invite specialists from the field of translation pedagogy and professional translators to participate in the event. We sincerely hope that the Congress will create an opportunity to examine the current state of affairs in the field, both on a theoretical and practical plane, reflect on the findings and share inspirations with a view to shaping the path of future development for translation pedagogy, along with effective classroom solutions which could facilitate the process of translator training. Evaluation Self-evaluation and peer evaluation; Types of assignment – out-of-class and in-class interaction; Evaluation modes; Types of sessions The conference will comprise a number of plenary lectures by renowned scholars, panel discussions and paper presentations. Presentations: The standard length for presentations will be 30 minutes (20 minutes for presentation plus 10 minutes for discussion). An extra fee of 120 PLN (40 EUR) will be charged for those participants who wish to attend the closing banquet. NB: Travel and accommodation costs are to be covered individually by each conference participant. Information on recommended hotels will be available on the conference website.
