  The Łódź-ZHAW Duo Colloquium on Translation and Meaning

  This year's central theme is After AI: Human(e) translation. Few professions and practices have been so directly affected by recent advances in AI as the language professions and the practices of translation and interpreting. As we re-evaluate our roles and our practices, questions of humanity and humane-ness remain central. How do humans remain involved in translation: both in the shaping of processes, and as users and readers of texts, and recipients and interpreters of utterances? Human(e) translation can be interpreted broadly, from the geopolitical to the textual to the commercial, and embraces both academic and professional considerations of translation and interpreting phenomena in the age of AI.
